Ventura County Yard Debris Cleared Out Fast

After a weekend of pruning, you've got a pile of branches taller than you are. The green waste bin is already full from last week. Your city pickup doesn't take anything over four feet long, won't touch stumps, and has a weight limit that three bags of wet leaves blow past. So now you've got a mountain of clippings baking in the sun and nowhere to put it. That's a phone call, not a problem. The Junk Wizards hauls yard waste and green debris so you can actually enjoy the yard you just worked on.

We remove tree branches, brush, hedge trimmings, leaves, grass clippings, palm fronds, dead plants, stumps (already removed from the ground), dirt, soil, sod, rocks, gravel, old mulch, and landscaping debris. If it came from your yard and you want it gone, it goes in our truck. Old fencing, broken planters, rusted garden furniture, and that rotten lattice along the side of the house — all of it counts.

Southern California fire season makes yard debris more than an eyesore — it's a genuine safety issue. Dead brush, dried-out palm fronds, and accumulated green waste near structures create fuel for wildfires. Ventura County fire codes require defensible space around homes, and a lot of homeowners in the Conejo Valley, Simi Valley, and the surrounding foothills need to clear vegetation regularly to stay compliant. We help with that. A quick haul after you've done the cutting keeps your property safe and up to code.

Green waste goes to proper composting and green waste facilities where it gets turned into mulch and compost instead of rotting in a landfill. Dirt and rock go to fill and aggregate facilities. Clean wood gets recycled when possible. The Simi Valley Recycling Center handles a lot of our green waste drop-offs, and Toland Road Landfill in Santa Paula takes the rest. Sorting at the disposal end is part of what we do — your yard waste doesn't just get dumped in with construction debris and old furniture.

Landscapers and tree service crews use our hauling service too. If you run a landscaping business and your own trailer is full, or you took on a big job that produced more debris than you can handle, call (805) 316-1610. We'll come to the job site, load up, and haul so you can keep working. Same-day service is available most days.

Our service area covers Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo, and the San Fernando Valley. Storm season and Santa Ana winds keep us busy with emergency cleanups — fallen branches, downed fencing, scattered debris. When the wind stops and you're looking at a mess, we're usually available same-day or next morning.

Yard Debris Pickup Made Simple

1

Pile It or Point to It

Pile debris in an accessible area if you can — near the driveway, along the fence line, or on the curb. If it's spread out across the yard, that's fine too. Our crew will walk the property, gather everything, and load it. The more accessible it is, the faster we move.

2

We Quote by Volume

Green waste is priced by how much it fills in our truck. Our crew takes a look at what you have and gives you the number before we start loading. Heavier materials like dirt and rock are factored differently than light brush. No guessing games, no surprises after the truck is loaded.

3

We Load & Haul to a Green Waste Facility

We take yard waste to proper green waste disposal or composting facilities — not the general trash landfill. Your branches and clippings get turned into compost and mulch. Dirt goes to fill facilities. Clean wood gets recycled. Everything goes where it's supposed to go.

We had an excellent experience working with Junk Wizards. Justin contacted us and gave us a quote super fast. He was super easy to work with, punctual, hard working, honest. He was able to clear yard debris and junk out of our backyard and haul it away the same day we contacted him. You have a loyal customer!

Frequently Asked Questions

We haul away stumps that have already been ground down or pulled out of the ground. If the stump is still rooted, you'll need a stump grinding service first. Once the grinding is done and the debris is loose, call us at (805) 316-1610 and we'll pick up the whole pile.
Dirt, topsoil, clay, and fill are all things we haul. But dirt is heavy — a cubic yard of soil weighs about 2,200 pounds — so dirt-heavy jobs are priced based on both weight and volume. Let us know upfront how much dirt you have so we bring the right setup and give you an accurate quote.
That's one of our busiest call types. After wind events and Santa Ana winds, we're out handling fallen branches, downed fencing, scattered debris, and damaged landscaping. We can typically get out same-day or next morning after a storm. Call (805) 316-1610 as soon as you can — schedules fill up fast after major weather.
Wood fencing, railroad ties, old irrigation pipe, garden timbers, rocks, gravel, broken concrete edging, rotting lattice — all of it gets hauled away. If it's in the yard and you want it gone, it goes in the truck.
Yard debris starts at $99 for a small load — a few bags of branches or a small pile of brush. A quarter truck of green waste runs $149–$249. Half a truck is $249–$399. Full truck loads from major yard overhauls or storm cleanup range from $399–$549+. Heavier materials like dirt and rock may carry a higher rate. You always get the price on-site before we load.
We haul the debris after you've done the clearing. If you've cut back brush, removed dead vegetation, and trimmed trees to meet Ventura County fire clearance requirements, we'll come take away everything you've cut. Keeping that material off your property is the final step in maintaining defensible space.
Definitely. If your trailer is full, your dump site is closed, or you took on a bigger job than you can haul yourself, call us. We work with landscaping crews and tree services across the Conejo Valley. Same-day hauling is available most days so you don't have to stop working.
Palm fronds are one of the most common yard debris items in our area. They're bulky, sharp, and awkward to handle. We haul dead fronds, trimmed fronds, and palm bark. If your palm tree service left the fronds on the ground, we'll come pick them up.
Old sod, dead turf, and removed lawn sections are all things we haul. If you're replacing your lawn with drought-tolerant landscaping — common in Southern California — we'll remove the old grass and soil layer. Pricing depends on volume and weight.
Green waste goes to composting and green waste processing facilities where it's turned into mulch and compost. The Simi Valley Recycling Center handles a lot of our green waste. Dirt goes to fill and aggregate facilities. We separate green waste from other materials so it gets processed properly instead of going to a general landfill.
